I love Adam's school. He has gone there since kindergarten, so this is his fourth year. The thing that makes it so wonderful to me is that each grade only has 60-70 students per grade, so by this point in time, he knows EVERYONE (except for the new students). Going to "sneak a peek" is like a family reunion, both for him and for me; he's been in class with just about everyone in his class at least once, and sometimes 2 or 3 years straight. This is the stuff from which lifelong friendships are made, and for that, I am thankful.
But there is one day that stands out for me each year. One very special day that I love and to which I look forward each and every year. It's the Circle of Prayer, and just like it says, we (students, faculty, staff, parents, family, and friends) circle the school and pray God's blessing over the year. It is powerful; it is beautiful; it is one of the reasons that my son attends this school. And it happened this Wednesday... and I truly could visualize angel wings coming together over the school in a dome of protection. I pray the same protection over EVERY school, be it public, private, Christian, or homeschool. Our children are our greatest treasure, and I pray that they always feel that they are loved and protected.

Pam,
Did you ever tell me you had a blog? If so, I sure forgot! I would have been responding all these months to your comments on my blog if I had realized/remembered it!
Shortly I will go back through and read your entries, but for now, I wanted to thank you publically for your thoughtfulness about my Dad's birthday. You are wonderful!
