It's time again for the I Heart Faces photography contest. This week's theme is black and white. Every year, I take pictures of the bug hunter in a leaf pile, and every year, I love them best in black and white. I used this picture on a Christmas card a while back, and it got mixed reviews. Some folks loved it, while others thought I should have used a more "joyful" picture (and one where he was "all cleaned up", instead of dirty around the edges). To me, it showed my boy's personality and depth at a young age, and it was one of my favorite cards. Hope you like it, too!

Life is short so I say GO FOR THE DIRT : ). Dirty is real, right. I love this picture. I barely see any dirt. I think it is one of those perfect ordinary moments that don't get captured often enough. Who wants perfect when you could have this! Lovely in every way : ). Did you have it in black and white on your Christmas card or color?

My favorite is cinnamon roll but I also like the plain strawberry and blueberry ones too. You know you don't HAVE to send me any...I can learn to live without Poptarts...but I promise I will enjoy them if you do. :)
I think it is a great shot. So sweet. I think that your son being so close to you, meaning so much to you, then he needs to be on that Christmas card cause he is what makes you happy. If its with leaves around his face or in front of a tree, color or b&w...its your choice!
