For the record...

***Update to this post***
I think I finally "get" why people homeschool. Yes, this morning was a challenge, especially with the meds getting in the way. BUT... he was done with schoolwork by noon, including tomorrow's homework. We have since played a couple of board games, read a couple of books, made chicken noodle soup together, made a "lava lamp" using water, food dye, oil, and salt (very cool!) and built a playground for the hamster. Usually, we don't get home from school til 3:00 or later, and there's homework to be done. By the time that's over, I need to start dinner, and then it's time to start getting ready for bed. The weekends usually have activities that keep us running. Today was an eye-opener; a lot of learning mixed in with even more fun. I still love his teacher, but homeschooling doesn't look so bad after all!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

there IS a reason that I don't homeschool. (this said after taking Adam to an asthma checkup yesterday, only to find out he has a bad sinus infection and possible walking pnuemonia. And then to get 3 new meds to add to the 3 he takes, with an increase on the ones he already has to double or more what he was taking. And THEN taking him in to school this morning, getting there, and realizing that the antibiotic was really making his stomach upset... and getting his day's worth of work, and then coming home. And finally, having to practically tie him to the chair to get the work finished.) Nope, no homeschooling here. I have the utmost respect for his teacher and will be shopping for a very NICE Christmas present for her to show my gratitude. Do you know how wired this kid is when his inhaled steroid dose is increased by 5 times? Along with 3 doses a day of bute? Yep, I'm thinking maybe a Mercedes, or a really nice diamond for Mrs. T... she's earned it!

And then, they dip their muzzles deeply into the clear, cold water, and they are filled.... and so it is with God.
