"Not Me!" Monday

It's time again for brutal, honest denial of events that may or may not have happened at our house by the creek over the past week. Only I know what's true and what isn't; it's up to you to guess! Would I lie to you? Not ME!!!! And now for a little fun...

I did NOT choose to plan a game rather than a craft for the bug hunter's class Thanksgiving party BECAUSE I have enough tin can turkeys and Thanksgiving placemats. That couldn't be ME, because I love all that stuff!

I did not break out "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" yesterday, just because I was in the mood to watch them. I would have more restraint than that, and wait til the week before Christmas, wouldn't I? What's next~reading "The Night Before Christmas" on Thanksgiving Day? Oh, and I have NOT alrady been playing Christmas music around the house, either...

I did NOT tell the bug hunter that even if he WON the frozen turkey at the turkey shoot, we wouldn't bring it home, because we already have one in the freezer. That wouldn't be very encouraging, would it? And I did NOT breathe a sigh of relief when I looked at his target and realized he had done well, but not well enough to be a contender. Moms are supposed to be their kids' biggest cheerleaders, right?

I did not go to bed after midnight last night because of so much to do. I did NOT set the alarm for 5:20, and pray that God would grant me good rest that would be sufficient to meet my needs for the day. And I did NOT forget to actually put the alarm in the "on" position, so that it didn't go off! And God... well, He DID wake me up at 5:36, just 15 minutes late, and allow me to make up the time so that we were right on time to school. And He IS a merciful and loving God.. can I get an "Amen"?

And I certainly did NOT scribble my "Not Me" list so illegibly that I actually can't make out OR remember two of the things about which I was going to write. That would be pretty crazy, wouldn't it? Oh well, at least it gave me ONE more "Not Me!".
