Word Filled Wednesday

The huge monkey's fist knot on the table at the knot-tying station was a big draw for Cub Scouts at this year's Turkey Shoot. It was bigger than a basketball, and much more complex than a regular monkey's fist. All that rope bound together looked big, and strong, and invincible. As my son stood gaping at the knot with his arm around a buddy's shoulder, he didn't realize that he and his friend were a living example of the strength of that knot. And often, we as Christians overlook the great strength found in fellowshipping with the body. We find excuses to skip church, rationalizing that we'll just read ourBibles a little more, maybe say a few more prayers. But we miss out on the "fill-up" of love and affirmation we get when surrounded by others who are seeking the same Savior. There truly is strength in numbers, especially when they are all looking up....

Amen! Great thoughts! I feel so much stronger when I have spent time with other believers. This Christian walk was definitely not meant to live alone.

Hope you had a great WFW!
