For the past two summers, the bug hunter and I have spent a week volunteering at the Lighthouse Family Retreat, near Grayton Beach, FL. Someday, I'll actually sit down and do a full-blown post on it; til then, go to http://www.thelighthousefamilyretreat.org/ to learn more about a wonderful outreach created by a true angel here on Earth. This past summer, I got to witness one of the coolest things I have ever seen; six people were baptized in the ocean at the retreat. I stood near the front to watch the first couple of baptisms, then went to the back and took in the full view of a hundred people standing on the shore, watching as sins were washed away. It hit me that the very water that washed over these precious souls had covered so many others the world over, and from that surf, so many had been born again into new creations. I am so thankful for Jesus' cleansing blood and for the very visual way He allows us to proclaim our allegience and obedience. And so, now.. what are YOU waiting for?

what an amazing post! i have to check out that camp it looks like something that i grew up in! :)
grew up in: when i was growing up my family didn't really go to church much, and if we did my dad was usually sleeping in it or something along those lines, so i tagged along with my friend and every summer from the time i was 12-19 i spend my summers at a camp where i know God was present and he ministered to so many people.. it was more of my home than my real home! It changed my life and encouraged me to follow God more than anything else!
