As much fun as our Polar Van Express ride was, it was fleeting. Even the memories are not eternal, although they will last longer than any "thing" that we could have given each other. Those tickets ask us to "believe" in Christmas, and in Santa, at least according to the movie. But God gave us the REAL ticket to paradise in the gift of His Son. And if I only believe in Him, the gift that I will receive is more precious than any earthly treasure. So, I think I'll trade these paper tickets in for the ones He offers. And, if I listen very carefully, instead of sleigh bells I'll hear a still, small voice.... and I can stand on the promises it offers to me.
