That's me, at least the creative writing part. I think I'm putting so much into the volunteer work that I'm doing that I don't have a lot left over for the blog. But I'm still grabbing at snatches of time to visit my friends' blogs, and there are several posts that made me say "Amen!" Since I feel sure that everybody likes a hearty helping of "Amen" every now and then, I'm going to be nice and share.
First, my friend Sue G wrote a post about something near and dear to MY heart. She hits the nail on the head, and if you need any more convincing, go here. I know (or knew) several of the children on this list; please scroll down and read their stories.
And then Dana at From Chaos to Grace wrote this post. I might have been nodding and saying "Oh, yes" the whole time I was reading it. Does it have the same effect on anyone else?
And then Jon at Stuff Christians Like wrote this post. Oh my... it's almost as if he read my mind; that's right where I am at this point in my life.
April at Straight from the Heart had this incredible story on her blog; what an amazing man of faith!
Finally, sweet Shanda at A Teachable Heart gave two awards to a host of great bloggers; somehow, I slipped into the list. Thank you, Shanda! I just read your last post, and while I'll miss reading your inspired and inspiring words, I completely understand the need to stop, to rest, and to be still when it comes to blogging. I'm at that point right now, too; not to totally stop, but only to write when I have something to say (or in this case, when there are so many other good things to read that I have to share). I realize that my hit counter will stop moving, that my friends will drift away to other, more interesting blogs. But God will use my words as He sees fit, and if He lays it on my heart to say it, I know He'll bring who He wants here to read it. I'm good with that. Right now, He is using me in other ways, and I've made the choice to be joyful rather than complaining; to be thankful rather than fearful, and to keep my eyes on Him. I'll still be visiting my bloggy friends, and I feel sure that the Bug Hunter will give me some good material (like maybe pictures of him on the screen porch, blowing his trombone and then yelling out to the woods "ATTENTION: THIS IS A TROMBONE. IT IS NOT AN ELEPHANT. DO NOT BE ALARMED!). Y'all have a beautiful weekend!

Blogging should never get in the way of life, and I'm glad that you're not letting that happen. Wouldn't want you to miss out on hilarious things that Bug Hunter says. :) Just make sure to come back and share them when you get a chance.
Like drewmark19 said, it should never get in the way of life, but....it can be a great way to share the interesting parts...like the Trombone!! And all the interesting things that Bug Hunter gets into during the school year. Keep us posted when you can!

Hi Pam!
I totally understand where you're coming from...and there is certainly no need for you to explain. You just take care of whatever you need to...blogging can't become a top priority because everything else falls by the wayside. Here's hoping that you and your family have a nice, relaxing Labor Day weekend!
I forgot to say thank you for mentioning my post from yesterday. My cousin says that her husband is not doing well, at all, this morning. Please keep those prayers coming!
I love you dear one, enjoy your weekend.
The funny thing about your blogging absences is that no matter how long you're gone, we still check in and wait patiently. And the reason is so very simple...
You see, you're worth waiting for. :-)
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder????
Just don't wait so long that my aging memory dims to unawareness...LOL
Or yours forgets to post!!!!ROFL
Will miss you when I remember to look, and enjoy you when I find that you remember to post...
