A couple of weeks ago, Amy Locurto of LivingLocurto (and co-founder of I Heart Faces) had a contest. She posted the recipe for Mini BBQ Beef Pies and used Country Bobs BBQ sauce in the recipe. Here's what she said about it:
"I used Country Bob’s Sauce. The folks at Country Bob’s sent me a bunch of sauce to test out and it’s really yummy. Sweet and tangy with a little spice. I’ve been using it on all sorts of things lately. Anyone who leaves a comment on this post gets a chance to win some Country Bob’s Sauce to try themselves! One winner will be randomly picked and announced later this week."
Guess who won? Why, it WAS me; how ever did you know? I was so excited... and then school started, and things got crazy, and I sort of forgot (well, actually I totally forgot) about the sauce. Until yesterday, when I got home from picking up Bug Hunter from school and found a box at my door. When I opened the box and saw the two bottles of sauce, I might have even let out a squeal of delight, because I already had beef stew finishing up in the oven. I LOVE a good, tangy sauce to top off my stew, and Country Bob's was perfect. Not only is it tangy and tasty (can't wait to try it on chicken and pork, too!), it also is preservative-free. And with a husband whose diet has become limited because of migraine triggers, that's a huge blessing. Thanks so much, Amy; it can be hard to impress a Southerner when it comes to BBQ sauce, but Country Bob's is so good that we'll be ordering more when these bottles are gone. And judging from the way we enjoyed it on our stew, you probably can measure that with a watch instead of a calendar!

HHHHhhhMMMMmmmmmm!!! Country Bob's Eay? is it AGED really well? LOL
I have heard that good sauce's, kinda like a good wine need to be aged....
Maybe that's the secret as to why it is SSSSSoooooooo Good??????
Isn't it great to be a winner?!? And to win something that you can EAT...the best!! Congratulations!
I'm so glad you won! You always do a great thing by passing on the word to others with any contest. It's nice to see that you're on the receiving end.
So, any chance of you coming to Dallas for the workshop? (Did I ask you that already?) Just hinting...big time! :)
I'm guessing your son needs you at home, but it would be so cool if you were able to come!
You bake your stew? In the oven? Not on top?
Interesting.
Can you get this in small towns like Los Angeles?
Tell Country Bob hello for me! He sounds like a wonderful new acquaintance. (As if your cooking NEEDED any help!)
Love,
Becky
Congratulations!! I love sauces.
The sauce sounds fabulous!
And here I thought we were just about identical...I never win things...so glad we don't share that!
I meant to tell you earlier that my daughter and I read through "Hinds Feet on High Places" this past spring! When you mentioned you and your son read it this summer I about fell out of my chair! We read the older (non-updated) version and we both got so much out of it!
I left you a couple of awards at my blog!
Makes me hungry. I want some ribs with country bobs!
Congrats on the win :)
