Playing favorites

Spring has sprung, at least around here, which means Easter is just around the corner. I love this time of year for all the obvious reasons; beautiful weather, beautiful flowers blooming, resurrection and renewal. But there's one other thing that makes this time of the year special to me. These.....

...are the closest thing I've found to heaven in a bag. And I can only get them at Easter, at Publix. No other place around here carries them, and sometimes, Publix has the audacity to even run out. I almost can't believe I'm giving my secret away here, but I don't think anyone who reads my blog actually shops at my Publix. For the record, if you come to my house around Easter, you will NEVER see a bag of these laying around. They will NEVER be displayed in a cute little Easter bowl for all to share. They are mine; ALL mine. Except that I foolishly told the bug hunter how good they were when I went crazy and bought a bag WITH HIM THERE. And now, he thinks HE can have some, too. So now, I've had to come up with creative hiding places for my stash. Do you have a favorite candy or food that you can only get at certain times of the year? And do you find it hard to share? I'd love to hear about it.. just not over a bowl of my Brach's Pastel Fiesta Malted Milk Eggs.

By the way, we don't have Publix or I would be happy to help a girlfriend out!

Does your Publix have Diet Cheerwine? That's really important for me to know in case I do get over there. I REALLY wish we got it here! I don't like the Cadbury Creme Eggs but I like the Cadbury eggs that are hollow chocolate with the sugar coated shell (kinda like egg shaped M&Ms; I can't remember what they're called). Or I guess I should say I LIKED them since I can't have any this year! Maybe I can find a special Easter protein or legume! =(
