WFW--A New Song..

Sing to the Lord a new song.. Psalm 96:1a

I read a magazine article in which the writer told of being inspired by this verse to make up her own songs of praise daily. Whether it was about a blessing in her life or simply the beauty of the sky on that particular day, she put it to music and sang it out. Because she hadn't been gifted with perfect pitch or beautiful tone in her voice, she chose to keep it a private performance from her to God, but she still found that it lifted her heart and kept her in an attitude of praise. I've started doing the same thing (private performances only at this house, too!), and it's amazing how music just makes the praise flow! So today... make it a point to sing a new song to the Lord; it might just make your day a little brighter.

Okay...who sings this song? There's a song that has these exact words... It's either Steven Curtis Chapman, or Jon --somebody-or-other (can't recall his last name right now). I'll have to look that up! LOL

Thanks! That song will be stuck in my head all day now! LOL. :P (not a bad thing). ;)

Does singing in the shower count? That's the only place that I sound really good! LOL! Hope you're blessed today in more ways than you can count!

What a wonderful post! The Bible says "make a joyful noise" I don't remember reading anything about being on key:-)

lol what is joyful to God isn't always joyful to other's ears! lol.. i know he loves my voice even if I can't sing a note in key! Great post!

I'm always singing in my heart. But, now, I will add my mouth to the chorus and hope it is pleasing to God.

(And thanks to a side effect of my chemo, I could most likely burp the entire Hallelujah Chorus, but I don't think God needs to hear that!)
