I might need a new mirror...

This morning, I was putting on my makeup in the bathroom, and it was apparent that my eyebrows could use a little tweeze. I'm not noticably hirsute, and since my hair is sort of the color of a geriatric field mouse, what extra hair I have isn't TOO glaringly obvious. Still, my right eyebrow in particular looked as if it had been over-fertilized, so I grabbed the tweezers and had a go at it. Metal was clacking, and brow hairs were flying, and STILL there was an uneven spot that I just could NOT tweeze out. Bear in mind, I can't wear my glasses when I tweeze, because I now have TRI-focals that are graduated, and if I have my glasses on and look up into the mirror, I can't even SEE my eyebrows. I'm better off without the glasses at all, or so I thought. After what seemed like an eternity of enthusiastic tweezing with less than stellar results, I finally put my glasses on so that I could take a head-on look at the problem. And that's when I discovered two unfortunate facts:
a) I actually have age spots on my eyebrow area now, and
b) I also now have a rather impressive bald spot, which is only minimally hidden by the age spot that I THOUGHT was a clump of rogue hairs.

Which leads me to the conclusion that I might not be wasting my money if I purchased one of those mega-watt, 800x magnifying mirrors for my bathroom. I hate menopause...

Oh, I feel for ya! Unfortunately, my PCOS *does* have that unfortunate hirsutism side effect.

Though I'm beyond impressed that you even knew the word :) And my mom swears by those magnification mirrors. Me? Far too depressing to see my imperfections in that much detail... I'd rather be in a river in Egypt, LOL.

Looking forward to Mr. Daddy's take on this. Cuz he's gonna get grounded at home if he isn't careful :)

ha ha ha, Pam you are awesome.

BTW, I have something new (blog wise) in the works and let's just say you helped inspire it.

Girl, can I ever relate! Growing older is for the birds! I'm too intimidated by one of those magnifying mirrors to buy one. There's no telling what I'd find wrong with my face then! Very scary, indeed!

If it makes you feel better, I already have an age spot or two, and I'm 34!

I've got one advantage on you, though. It's called Lasik. Ah....wonderful. :)
